Rigid engine mounting

The dual engine balancers make the ZZR exceptionally smooth running. This allows rigid engine mounting which contributes to chassis rigidity and allows the frame to be made lighter. Comparatively, the ZZR’s frame has 230% of the longitudinal rigidity and 90% of the torsional rigidity of the monocoque frame used on the 12R. Further, using a less rigid swingarm helps realise the excellent stability and more responsive handling.
